Emily

Hello! My name is Emily, and I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2016 before attending Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. After completing my undergraduate degree in psychology in 2020, I went on to attend Liberty University where I received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree in 2022. I have played sports all my life, including softball, basketball, field hockey, soccer, and flag football. I am an avid fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Tennessee Volunteers, and Navy Midshipman.

My passion for defending my faith and addressing cultural issues through a biblical perspective was ignited in 2022, following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. At that time, I realized how important it was to know why I believed what I believed and to stand firm on my biblical convictions despite what the world might say. 1 Peter 3:15 reads, "...but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect." I am not a credentialed apologist; however, I believe every Christian is called to contend for the faith as Peter proclaims. My hope is to expose the darkness which surrounds us each day and to point believers and non-believers to Christ and His finished work on the cross.

With that said, I will be discussing difficult, controversial topics and doing so may offend some of you. I understand. At one time, I was offended and enraged by some of these conversations; however, my heart, thus my intention, lies within presenting the Gospel of Christ. I will not falter on my biblical convictions to appease non-believers as well as believers. I fear the Lord, not man. In conclusion, I ask you read the articles with the posture of wanting to know more, wanting to be challenged, and wanting to understand the Christian perspective.
